INSIGHT TO HELP YOU RUN A BETTER MARATHON
Running for science explores the benefits of detailed, accurate measurement of the effects of running on the human body.
This collaborative research project uses medical imaging technologies to reveal exactly what happens to your body when you run a marathon.
The idea is simple: take a mixed group of people who’ve signed up to run their first marathon, analyse their knees and hips before the run, then repeat afterwards.
The goal is to help people run better, improving performance while reducing injury and the associated healthcare burden.
